Principal's Message

Dear LIBRA Community,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!  We are so excited to start this new year of school!

LIBRA is a very special place where the entire community is committed to the success of each and every one of our students’ education and well-being.

The faculty at LIBRA all share a common belief about educating the whole child, where both students’ academic and social emotional needs are addressed with dedication, compassion, and a willingness to learn.  Students have the ability to connect with and form relationships with LIBRA adults so that they know that there is someone who will advocate and support them when they experience challenges and success.

Our core values at LIBRA reflect who we are as a community.   We are Student-Centered, have a Growth Mindset, and are committed to Building Meaningful Relationships with our students and stakeholders.

Because the pandemic has presented new challenges to our community, this year will continuing our work around student-centeredness, so we can address students and their various needs. We will also continue to build relationships with our students as know our success lies in the connections we have with our students and families. We know that if we work as a team, and with the community, students will receive the tools, instruction, and support necessary to be successful so that they can leave LIBRA as thoughtful, global citizens.  As always, we will continue to educate our students so they will leave LIBRA with a strong character, mind, and well-being.

We believe that preparing students for college and career success is a shared effort and welcome parents’ involvement in their student’s education. We invite parents to reach out to their teachers whenever you have a question or concern.  We are a team and can work together to address all situations.

This year we have so many things to look forward to!   2022-23 should be the most "normal" year since the inception of the pandemic. As long as we continue to collaborate as a community, communicate with one another and live out our core values, our students will be able to thrive!

Warmly,
