Dear LIBRA Community,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I am so honored to return to the LIBRA community as the principal. LIBRA is a very special place where the entire community is committed to the success of each and every one of our students’ education and well-being.
The faculty at LIBRA is committed to educating the whole child, where both students’ academic and social emotional needs are addressed with dedication, compassion and a willingness to learn. Students have the ability to connect with and form relationships with LIBRA adults so that they know that there is someone who will advocate for them and support them when they experience challenges.
Here at LIBRA we are committed to making sure all of our students have the necessary tools to be successful in a college or career. With a 100% graduation rate, we pride ourselves on preparing students to become active global citizens who make a positive impact on their community. We do this through personalization, intervention, enrichment, advisory, athletics, clubs and a rigorous academic standards-based curriculum.
We believe that preparing students for college and career success is a shared effort and welcome parents’ involvement in their student’s education. We invite parents to reach out to their teachers whenever you have a question or concern. We are a team and can work together to address all concerns.
It is because of the hard work of all our faculty, students and parents that LIBRA Academy received a Distinguished Schools Award last school year. I look forward to continuing our work to ensure that all LIBRA students become critically thinking global citizens who are prepared for their lives after high school!
With much excitement,
